This is terrible. British films are my speciality. This is going to be a ****ing nightmare!

Oops sorry for the cussing, i'm trying to calm down after reading Inspector Ron's Star Wars review.

I made this list on Letterboxd a while back detailing my favourite British horrors... chronologically organised though, so I will have to work on a ranking.
Nice list, B_E.

Sadly there are some notable omissions.

Well they aren't omissions if you don't own them. I'm presuming this is a list of horror that you have in your collection...and The Deadly Strangers.

Not necessarily - just ones that I have seen that fit the criteria of being British, being horror(ish) and are a 7/10 or above for me personally.

I only have one list based on what I own at present (I think).

Fair enough. I hadn't noticed the 7/10 criteria until you mentioned it just now.

Just off the top of my head

X The Unknown
Shadow of the Cat
The Night Has Eyes
Shadow of the Vampire
Wilderness
Eden Lake
The Ghoul (1934)
Blood of the Vampire
Slaughter High
Alien
I Don't Want to be Born
The House in Nightmare Park
Saturn 3
The Playbirds
The Legacy
Holocaust 2000

As i say there are quite a few more than these, but you probably just think they aren't worth mentioning.

There's a fair few of those I haven't seen, Dem.

The ones I have I either rate lower or don't really see as 'British'; Alien and Slaughter High for instance.

The Ghoul will be added to the list though - I'd overlooked that one.

Everything's worth mentioning - except Shaun of the Dead, whom's absence from the list is entirely on purpose.

Alien has two pages dedicated to it in the FAB Press book 10 Years of Terror.

You should stop buying shite like Blood Sucking Mothers and get yourself some British gems instead.

You leave mothers out of this!

I own Alien I'll have you know! I don't consider it 'British' though, I always see it as a UK/US co-production.

Plus, Blood of the Vampire is hardly a gem: 52/100

I thought The Creeping Flesh, Death Line and Symptoms might have ranked as 7/10 though.

What about Horrors of the Black Museum and Doomwatch? Not to mention The Mutations?

Oh and leaving out The Fiend is a crime in itself.
