I'd completely forgotten about Don't Open Till Christmas aka A Kill Every Seven Minutes. It would definitely have made my 80's top 10.

I started a '90s list but I gave up after number 6 and buried my tear-soaked face in my keyboard despairing at how shocking a decade it really was.

The Criteria for Top 10 British Horrors of the 90's was slightly different. First i had to find 10 i actually owned, then basically rank them in 1 - 10 order. That's basically it.

Ravenous (1999)
Event Horizon (1997)
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)
Dust Devil (1992)
The Wisdom of Crocodiles (1998)
Breeders (1997)
Darklands (1996)
Tale of a Vampire (1992)
Witchcraft X: Mistress of the Craft (1999)
Razor Blade Smile (1998)

Disclaimer. The first 4 are worthy contenders for any list, especially Ravenous.

The next four are watchable enough but wouldn't be anywhere near contention in any other decade. The final two are woeful. Witchcraft X comes before Smile due to the massive breast quota.

I see you cheated with some co-productions, but a fairly solid list all the same (a chunk of them I haven't seen too). Admittedly I was ready to keel over laughing with The Inspector.

No joy for me tonight now though.

I'm still amazed at how many of the films turning up this week i had no idea were British.
