This is a difficult subject for me

There are only three acts that I would consider to be my favourites - Alice Cooper, Kate Bush and The Who. Other than that...

...*something* happened to me in the late 80's/early 90's, and I lost interest in music. I stopped listening to the radio and buying records.

Doing a bit of research, I have discovered this about most of the NWOBHM bands I loved in the 80's, and was a completest - getting all records on day of release. The last records I got were:

Hawkwind: Electric Tepee (1992)
Manowar: The Triumph Of Steel (1992)
Motorhead: March Or Die (1992)
Iron Maiden: Fear Of The Dark (1992)
Motley Crue: Dr. Feelgood (1989)
Metallica: Metallica/The Black Album (1991)
King Diamond: The Eye (1991)
Jethro Tull: Rock Island (1989)
Def Leppard: Adrenazlie (1992)

and I'm sure there are many others. After that, I started to only get 'greatest hits' and compilation albums

There might be bands that I can now listen to, but I wouldn't describe them as being favourites

I just wish I could remember what happened to me all those years ago, resulting in this total disinterest in music
