There were so many good films that year that I can do a top 10. So, in alphabetical order, here is my top 20:

1. Almost Famous
2. American Psycho
3. Amores Perros
4. Battle Royale
5. Bread and Roses
6. Chicken Run
7. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
8. Ginger Snaps
9. Gladiator
10. High Fidelity
11. Memento
12. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
13. Pitch Black
14. Requiem for a Dream
15. Scream 3
16. Sexy Beast
17. Shadow of the Vampire
18. Sunshine
19. Traffic
20. X-Men
