I'm going to leave out horror comedy as well, so there will be no Return of the Living Dead, unfortunately

As others have done, I decided to leave out horror-comedies, which has meant one change from my previous list.

See, I left out Ghostbusters because I see it as a Horror comedy, otherwise it would be top of my list

If you stripped the comedy away from Ghostbusters (or Gremlins), it wouldn't function as a horror film because it isn't particularly scary – the same can't be said for the three I mentioned above. With some of those films, they are comedy-horrors whereas others are horror-comedies, either horror films with some laughs or comedies with a few scares – Ghostbusters is definitely in the latter category.

I was going to do them in order of preference but it was impossible! No Ghostbusters because that's horror comedy, and I didn't do Back to the Future because I don't see it as a comedy, more of an adventure film.

Do all the people who listed the likes of Return of the Living Dead think i know i'll have a good laugh and watch it? There are enough great comedies from the decade without resorting to the f**king Evil Dead yet again. Just my opinion! |

Jokes aside, Return of the living dead & evil dead 2 have humor that doesn't seem to date. A lot of 80's comedies are funny to people who remeber the era but sometimes don't translate for modern audiences. Airplane is one that is universal as well. The only real guilty pleasure one I used was weekend at bernies.

It's okay, but it's about as funny as a cinema trip with MTDS.
