I agree, I haven’t seen Lost Highway or Mulholland Drive and both are now spoiled, but seeing as they’ve been out years I’m not bothered and doubt they’ll be ruined when I do eventually watch them

New films/TV shows then yeah, spoiler tags should be used, but old ones is fair game on a forum like this

It is difficult to say definitively, but I would guess it's difficult to 'spoil' Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive because, if you're anything like me, the first time you watch them you won't have a firm grasp on what's happening and will likely go on the Internet afterwards and look for an explanation!

I'm assuming you're referring to the third series Rik.I haven't watched that yet as I'm buggered if i know what went on with the first two. All the spoilers in the world wouldn't have give things away.

Mainly the third yeah, but I still don’t know what the hell went on in the first two

In that case, there shouldn't be any loss of enjoyment in either Lost Highway or Mulholland Drive based on what has been revealed here.

Going back to the topic, I've no idea I missed RoboCop from my list as it is a film about someone whose memory is 'wiped' before starting to recall things from before the incident. Memory loss and its subsequent recovery is a huge part of Murphy's character arc.

I’ve got RoboCop in my list (which I’m still working on, hopefully posting tonight)

Films About Amnesia and Memory Loss
  1. Psycho*
  2. Mulholland Drive
  3. RoboCop
  4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  5. Dark City
  6. Spellbound
  7. Lost Highway
  8. Shutter Island
  9. Memento
  10. Finding Dory

*I'm surprised this isn't on many online lists as the titular antagonist is someone who suffers from blackouts and memory loss (clinically known as disassociative amnesia/psychogenic amnesia) due to his dissociative personality disorder.

Narrowly missing the cut:
  • Angel Heart
  • The Bourne Identity
  • Girl on the Train
  • The Long Kiss Goodnight
  • The Killer inside Me (2010)
  • The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
  • Total Recall

I thought of Psycho but didn't think it fitted, seeing as it's probably a Schizophrenia thing, wasn't sure if split personalities counted as amnesia.
