Boris Karloff Top Ten.

frankenstein-1931-003-boris-karloff-lazy-eyes-00m-yvt-1000x750.jpg black-cat-1934-Boris-Karloff.jpg

Targets
Sorcerers
Frankenstein / Bride / Son / House of Frankenstein *
The Black Cat
Mad Monster Party

Black Sabbath
The Body Snatcher
Old Dark House
Mask Of Fu Manchu
Comedy Of Terrors

* I like all the Frankenstein films listed but i'm bunging them all together so as not to dominate the list, the first is my favourite.

I really love 'Sorcerers' and 'Targets', two unusual films that show Karloff could still be a compelling screen presence even in his later years.

BORIS KARLOFF
  1. The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
  2. Frankenstein (1931)
  3. The Mummy (1932)
  4. The Old Dark House (1932)
  5. The Black Cat (1934)
  6. Black Sabbath (1963)
  7. The Walking Dead (1936)
  8. Scarface (1931)
  9. The Body Snatcher (1944)
  10. The Raven (1935)
Just missing out: Isle of the Dead (1945) & The Raven (1963)

BELA LUGOSI
  1. White Zombie (1932)
  2. Dracula (1931)
  3. The Black Cat (1934)
  4. The Raven (1935)
  5. Ninotchka (1939)
  6. Island of Lost Souls (1932)
  7. Phantom Ship (1935)
  8. The Corpse Vanishes (1942)
  9. Glen or Glenda (1955)*
  10. Zombies on Broadway (1945)

*This is definitely in the 'so bad it's good' category; I didn't want to include Plan 9 from Outer Space as Lugosi isn't really in it very much and died before it was released.
