Following Demdike's list and observation about man-made creatures/monsters rather than fish, this is my alternate list:

Many thanks to everyone for contributing your varied and interesting lists of killer fish films, some of which I haven't seen and others I still have on my 'to watch' pile.

As suggested by Demdike, this week's topic is closely related (particularly in the trashy films from The Asylum) but also a bit different, with films dating back nearly a hundred years all the way to the present day.

Killer Mermaid...Good call. I never thought of that film. I rather enjoyed it. Always nice to see Franco Nero in genre films.

Must admit i'd never have thought you'd enjoy Piranha DD.

Expect this list to be heavily dominated by Jurassic Park films. A shame, but they are all very good in my opinion.

I only watched Killer Mermaid for the first time at the weekend and it wasn't what I expected, being a lot darker and mysterious than I thought it would be, with nowhere near the cheese or nudity the description alluded to.

I would never call Piranha DD one of my favourite films, but it easily passes the time with the cheese and nudity missing from Killer Mermaid!

I'll need to rewatch all of the Jurassic Park films this week and older movies with stop motion animation like The Valley of Gwangi, The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, and One Million Years B.C..

To make my list a bit more interesting, I'm counting Godzilla as a dinosaur.

It feels almost wrong to list all the Jurassic Park films, however i do love them all.

I went for the Peter Jackson King Kong remake over the original film because the scenes with the dinosaurs are just breathtaking.

Much as i like Humanoids From the Deep and Creature from the Black Lagoon, Reptillicus and so on, they aren't killer fish movies. They are all man made horrors / monsters, so to speak rather than something real living beneath the surface.

Unless you really think there are Humanoids from the Deep. In which case i'd get help.

The humanoids are mutated fish. Its mentioned in the film....

"A company called Canco has announced plans to build a huge cannery near Noyo. The murderous, sex-hungry mutations are apparently the result of Canco's experiments with a growth hormone they had earlier administered to salmon. The salmon escaped from Canco's laboratory into the ocean during a storm and were eaten by large fish that then mutated into the brutal, depraved humanoids that have begun to terrorize the village."

I've avoided jurassic park films in my list. Godzilla is a little bit cheeky but the 50's Goji fits.
