'A Warning' is deffo my favourite, closely folled by The Signalman. The Stalls of Barchester comes in third, followed by The Ash Tree and Lost Hearts.

Very chilling, especially the woodland scenes. The part where Peter Vaughan digs up the crown is really intense. I also love the Christopher Lee read version in the set. |

The Treasure of Abbot Thomas is a highlight for me. That oily spectre i find really creepy. I love all of them. I also adore the Robert Powell read ones on a separate disc (or at least i bought it separately). The Mezotint is outstanding. The Spine Chillers episodes on that disc are also brilliant. |

A View from a Hill is also very creepy. I love the idea that a spectral church can appear then disappear when looked at through old binoculars. There's another on this year. Mark Gatiss has adapted Martin's Close, another James story which is on this Christmas Eve. Really hoping the BFI will release it along with The Tractate Middoth and The Dead Room in time for next Christmas. |

Going to start December 1st with one of the James Ghost stories tonight. Or do i wait until the tree is up and decorated? Decisions, decisions. Might well be one of the short Spine Chillers from the Classic Ghost Stories set instead. |

Santa's Slay Santa goes on a killing spree, turns out he is the son of Satan who lost a bet and had to spend a millennium giving gifts to kids. So naturally he's royally pissed. So many bad one liners but so many fun moments. This is how you spend December watching trashy Christmas movies. santas-slay-kills.jpg Sent from my POT-LX1 using Tapatalk

Inside. 2007. A woman who lost her husband in a car crash, four months pass and it's Christmas Eve, Sarah is preparing to make preparations for her baby who is due to be born. A strange woman who has been stalking Sarah intends to have her baby one way or another. For the first 20 minutes this film seems to look boring and drag on but give it time, tough brutal film from France that's on the near same wave length as Martyrs. Both woman Alison Paradis (Sarah) and BĂ©atrice Dalle (Le Femme) play both roles well. The violence is relentless and numbing to the point of crossing your legs, this has high tension and dark atmosphere with a good blood splatter and home made flame thrower added in.
