Every Halloween sequel after III. Michael Myers and Loomis died in that explosion. Although I don't mind watching 4 and H20 from time to time. I hate Rob Zombie's take, he did nothing new with the mythology and stripped it of what was unique about it.

I'd argue that Halloween III is a pointless sequel, great film but it shouldn't be classed as a sequel to Halloween, it should be a standalone film IMO

Yeah I've never classed III as a Halloween film. It should have been released simply as The Season of the Witch.
