I'm a big fan of these Sherlock Holmes films, but i only just bought the dvd box set last year to replace my old VHS collection which i'd recorded off the tv many years ago. I would have bought the US Blu-ray set if it had been region free.
At this stage, i'm not prepared to buy these films again, unless they're released as a Blu-ray box set in the Uk, and at a reasonable price.

Thats what I'll be waiting for. In the meantime I'm more than happy with the UK dvd set.

When it says definitive collection i wonder if that means loads of extra features?

The dvd set only has 5 commentaries and a preservation doc if i recall, so a shed load of new stuff would be rather nice.

I have to admit even being dvd only i'd be interested in these if they are fully loaded editions. Since buying and loving the Jeremy Brett box set a few years ago i can't really get enough screen Sherlock and love it all. From Rathbone to Downey Jr and Cumberbatch to Christopher Lee . I must pick up the Douglas Wilmer series not to mention the ones with Cushing and Tom Baker in the role of the great detective.

Second Sight are putting two Holmes discs out too. Another version of Baskervilles and Sign of Four. Starring Ian Richardson

It might just be my personal taste but i find Graham Humphries art work far more palatable on releases like this rather than his recent horror efforts.

These look good. Have a Drew Struzan look to them.

Thought this would make an ideal Flipside release, but really pleased to see it coming from Network:

Put on FB earlier today

One of our releases for later in the year, a British witchcraft classic from the 1960s starring Lon Chaney. Just waiting to see the HD master next month to assess it...

A little more info (but not much), on Second Sight's Assault On Precinct 13 blu-ray.

"ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 40TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION scheduled for October this year. We've got exciting stuff in the pipeline for this release - announcements coming soon."
