End of Days

Quote:
The hit 90?s action thriller arrives in the UK for the first time on Blu-Ray!

With the millennium approaching, a series of disturbing signs suggests that Satan has returned to Earth and is walking the streets of New York City. The fate of the Earth is left in the hands of ex-cop turned bodyguard, Jericho (Schwarzenegger), who not only must prevent Armageddon, but must also try and protect a young woman whose death - according to the Church - is the only way to avert disaster.

Directed by Peter Hyams (2010, Timecop, Outland), and written by Andrew W. Marlowe (Hollow Man, Air Force One), Arnols Schwarzenegger stars alongside Emmy nominees Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects, Miller?s Crossing) and Mark Margolis (Breaking Bad, Pi), and Oscar winner Rod Steiger (In the Heat of the Night, On the Waterfront).

I'm planning for it to be my late night New Years Eve film seeing as that's when the finale is set.

One of those movies i forget is a Christmas film.

It's not prime Arnie but happily sits alongside stuff like Collateral Damage, The Sixth Day and Eraser

There was a bit of discussion back in June on the Treasured Films thread about it's release.

Awful film in my opinion.

Ah must have missed that. Not sure I've seen that thread even. It's not one I've seen, I've wanted to for ages but it only seemed to be available via Scream Factory's region locked disc.
I'm not paying ?18.99 for this UK release though.

'The Substance' (2024) - Pre-order available from Amazon UK for Blu-Ray - UK$15:00 and DVD - UK?12:00

Release date: July 1, 2025

"Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself? You. Only better in every way. You've got to try this product: The Substance. It changed my life

Demi Moore gives a career-best performance as Elisabeth Sparkle, a former A-lister past her prime and suddenly fired from her fitness TV show by repellent studio head Harvey (Dennis Quaid). She is then drawn to the opportunity presented by a mysterious new drug: THE SUBSTANCE. All it takes is one injection and she is reborn - temporarily - as the gorgeous, twentysomething Sue (Margaret Qualley). The only rule? Time needs to be split: exactly one week in one body, then one week in the other. No exceptions. A perfect balance. What could go wrong?

Deliriously entertaining and ruthlessly satirical, Coralie Fargeat's Cannes sensation turns toxic beauty culture inside out with a be-careful-what-you-wish-for fable for the ages. Explosive, provocative and twisted, THE SUBSTANCE marks the arrival of a thrillingly visionary filmmaker
