Unfortunately, it's not English-friendly. Who owns the rights in the UK? In the US, it's been Anchor Bay (and they certainly won't be releasing it anytime soon in HD).
Damn! I would absolutely love this on Blu. I think this is the creepiest and most atmospheric of all the Dracula movies. Kinski really plays the tortured soul superbly and the film would look gorgeous in HD.

Bgart, I think I'm holding onto my Criterion Third Man after seeing the SC screenshots. Sorry.

I think you may have missed it by 9 months, mate.

As for Herzog's Nosferatu, it's one of my all-time favourite films and probably my favourite Dracula adaptation. It's truly stunning in every respect. The film simply oozes atmosphere, but not the frilly Gothic grandeur we're used to - but rather here we have decay, death and pestilence. Dracula isn't the towering majestic monster of Christopher Lee, but rather he is a sad, lonely creature full of self-loathing for his cursed condition. The scene when Nosferatu arrives at civilisation and the town descends into madness - death and decay in such a place of beauty, all to the haunting strains of Tsintskaro - is one that has stayed with me since. A film that is devastating in its beauty; albeit a terrible beauty. Absolutely love it and hope it turns up on BD in an English-friendly release soon. Please!

Seems Gaumont are also releasing Eyes Without A Face in October. That would be a great one too. Region coding is no match for French film distributors.

Received an e-mail from Play.com to say that the release date for Shriek Show's Zombie Holocaust Blu has been moved from 28.09 to TBA.

Also: Even though I'm not a huge fan of the films, that B2TF set looks sweet, b.

Just got the same

Even though it's region A, and I'm locked to B, I still want to own it for when I do go multi region.

Don't want to go multi region and find out that the disc has gone OOP.

Just a little heads up for everyone. After seeing the words "confirmed region free" on dvdworldusa concerning Shout Factory's Star Crash BD, and my copy arriving this morning, I decided to test it myself. Just to make sure, I set my Player to region B and stuck in my Anchor bay Evil Dead BD. As expected, I was hit with a wrong region code message. I then put Star Crash in and hey presto!, it played I can say with certainty that Star Crash is REGION FREE!!!!!!!
