The Oscars have never really been a true indication of what's the best of a particular year, Nos. Think back only to last year with the solidly entertaining King's Speech beating out the exceptional Black Swan. Or Forrest Gump besting Pulp Fiction; Dances with Wolves beating Goodfellas. The list is endless and the more you see these laughable results the less notice you end up paying to Oscars/awards.

Exactly. And at the BAFTAS(?) Four Weddings and a Funeral beating out Pulp Fiction. I mean, come on. I bet Four Wedddings all these years later doesn't still sell as well as or is as popular as Pulp Fiction.

I'm not sure whether to buy the Digibook or wait for this special edition release. It'll probably depend on the special features and whether the picture has undergone an improved HD restoration.

That's it in a nutshell. A lot of the winners are long forgotten but the great overlooked films endure and will continue to do so.

The King's Speech was a really enjoyable film but will people still be talking about it in 20 years? I don't think so but I bet there'll be loads of young film fans discovering Black Swan and debating it.

Im going to pass as the quality of the piece looks rubbish. Its McFarlane so dont expect it to last long!
Price dont surprise me after I found out who made it. If it was made by Sideshow it would have cost a lot more and be better made.
