Sounds good but i'm still going to wait and see nontheless. If they are improvements then i'll buy them, but unless I land a job soon my days of double dipping on these things are numbered. Trouble is the arrow releases arent really worth much and stuff like tenebrae is more there for the extras and the sleeve than the transfer. So the big question for me is how much of an improvement will they be, and what will the extras be like? If they have less in the way of bonus material but better transfers i'll have to pick them up and keep my arrow stuff. If they have all the features of the arrow stuff and better transfers well then its adios my arrow collection, most likely at a substantial loss

It's promising news, but I'm going to wait and see before double dipping.

New special editions of four classic features by two of the masters of Italian horror, plus a more recently minted Canadian undead opus, are all on the way from Synapse Films. Read on for the exclusive news!

Synapse Films’ Don May Jr. gave Fango the scoop that the company just acquired Lamberto Bava’s DEMONS and DEMONS 2 and Dario Argento’s TENEBRAE and PHENOMENA. “We’ll be releasing Blu-rays and DVDs of all four in 2013,” he tells us. “We’re getting better hi-def masters of TENEBRAE and PHENOMENA, and we’re fixing the timing and color errors that were in the previous Blu-rays of the DEMONS films. Right now, Calum Waddell and High Rising Productions are working on supplements for DEMONS and DEMONS 2. They’re putting together all kinds of stuff for us on those two, with the participation of Simon Boswell, Alan Jones, Federico Zampaglione and Roy Bava, and many more to be announced. We haven’t started on the TENEBRAE and PHENOMENA extras yet.” Look for more details on these releases (for which the images below do not necessarily represent the cover art) soon.

Like the Arrow/ BU BD's i own, complimenting each other, i'll hold onto my Arrow Bd of both titles and double dip on the same format if the extra's are any good.

That's pretty much the same as me as, for some reason, I don't have a problem with the picture quality on the Arrow Video Tenebrae disc so I'm happy enough with that one at the moment.

Lets hope Tenebrae and Phenomena will be regionfree. The guy behind Synapse doesn't like DNR either and both films needs to be corrected (referring to the Arrow releases).

There's a good chance I'll double dip for TENEBRAE, but I'm more than happy with the Arrow releases of the rest of those titles and am not so fussed about even more extras

I've never had any huge issues with Arrow's Tenebrae, but i may be tempted if there's a drastic difference and it's regionfree.
