The GF just showed me the trailer for Stoker. She really like's the look of it and thinks it's right up my ally. If I got the message from the trailer correctly, it's House on the Edge of the Park, with abuse, that promotes rape rather than condoning it...as an act of love that the main character take's to heart. You just know i'm going to love this right! Ethics aside the cinamatography at least looks interesting, might give it a shot when it comes out.

No scene seen in the trailer, but am I the only one who got the feeling that that's where it's going with the uncle creepily talking to his sister, that her daughter is 'of age' and he wears a rape face throughout the rest of the trailer. Not sure what to make of it TBH.

She seem's to be under the impression it's going to be Twilight-esque. Oh dear.

Wee catch up.... Hitchcock. For a film apparently based around the making of Psycho, the allusions to The Birds were beginning to piss me off some what, a slight film, and only twice did I really think that Hop captured Hitch. Agree with previous statements that for such a complex character, this was a bit frothy for my liking, something you couldn't say about... Vile (2011). 9 strangers are trapped in a house, have to torture each other to release a chemical that the body produces in response to extreme shock. this makes it sound more interesting. It isn't. Crunch crunch goes the soundtrack, cliche cliche goes the dialogue, was bored within 30 minutes. Avoid. showed mate Boss Nigger, he liked, I'm beginning to love this film. Grapes of Death. Wheeeeeeeee, another Rollin film I like. Just a wee query, was one of the farmers in Kentucky Fried Movie??? Dark Star. Love this. "...and Boiler keeps punching me in the arm when no one's looking!!" Silly, but it's obvious that it was made with a real fondness for the genre...creepy and wacky at the same time, makes a great double bill with Silent Running imo.
