A mixed bag again this week... I should post here more often.

The Leopard Fist Ninja - No Ninjas despite the title but an ok revenge tale from Godfrey Ho.
Piranha II: The Flying Killers - God! I'd forgotten how bad this film was. Not one of Lance Henriksen's finest moments.
Horror Of Dracula - Hammer classic. 'Nuff said.
Tooth Fairy - What is The Rock doing to himself?
Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead - Gory but dumb. I couldn't care who lived or died.
Harry Brown - It's taken me ages to get around to this. Michael Caine is brilliant. This will get another viewing soon.
The Mummy - Another Hammer classic.
House III: The Horror Show - Very similar to Wes Craven's Shocker. Lance Henriksen & a suitably OTT Brion James make it worthwhile.... just about.
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - My all time favourite movie gets yet another viewing. I've lost count how many times to be honest.
Hitch-Hike - Good old fashioned exploitation with Franco Nero and (surprise surprise- playing a psycho again) David Hess.
Inferno - Thank you Arrow.

It was pretty crap tbh
I loved the first one, it was different with a town locked down and in darkness.
it was a non stop vicious vampire flick.

in this sequel the action moves to LA and then a ship and you dont really care for any of the charcters even Stella as Mellisa Gerorge aint in it. Did not enjoy the film at all and nearly fell asleep. Dont know why they did a direct to disc sequel, loved first one and it deserved a better done serquel.
I have this on my 'to review' pile and, like you, loved the first film but will try and forget your negative review so I can watch it with an open mind.

maybe

it makes me think Mirrors 2 will be as shit as these direct 2 video sequels are hardly ever good. Its just a rush job by the studios to make more money.

Most DTV sequels are never as good as the originals. A couple that stick out in my mind are Tremors 2 and Darkman 2. Both of which I watched recently.

Any chance of Arrow landing the rights to the US Blu-Ray version of 'Maniac'?

Certainly would buy it? As for the BBFC? Could go either way. It's not as if it's 'The New York Ripper'. At least, I think not.
