I'm still in two minds after seeing the trailer. At first I welcomed Scream 4 as I like the idea of the franchise popping up every 10 years or so to comment on the more recents trends of horror films (in this case violence and gore, reboots/remakes etc) but the self-conscious nature of the characters in the trailer just made me cringe a bit as it's not really that clever anymore.

You are right, the characters really really make ones teeth itch! And I am so so so sick of the referencing cliched horror movie stereotyping. Geeeez, sing a new song!

Same here. I liked all of the Scream films but gave up on the Saw franchise years ago, probably after the second or third instalment.

I just watched Bare Behind Bars which was just what I expected it to be and have now started watching Cannibal Ferox and I'm up to the bit where the Anaconda has just killed the rodent -- nice.

Hahahaha, what a piece of shit that was, I'd never heard of it and for some reason sat through the whole thing one night, It was on one of them cable channels which mainly plays shit horror films.

WILD WILD PLANET - 60's movie featuring Franco Nero in a supporting role, quite grim some of it, started off well and seemed to dip in the middle but the last part was great fun. Full of some really good (and some not so good) Margheriti minatures.

THE DEADLY TRACKERS
from 1973 with Richard Harris, I really enjoyed it, never seen it before.

I've seen far, far worse. I enjoyed the cameos. But, no, it's not a great film!

I watched the excellent 1988 James Woods movie COP earlier today, based on the novel Blood On The Moon by James Ellroy. I love this film and it contains one of my favourite final lines.

Classic film. One of (many) James Woods' finest moments!
