The Way Back - beautifully photographed with a terrific score and superb direction, as always, from Peter Weir.

Today I watched Made In Britain which is a great BBC film starring Tim Roth, dark but enjoyable. I also watched the directors cut of Battle Royale but didn't enjoy it as much as the theatrical version, was it me or does the directors cut seem way more slow in terms of pace?

yes it does seem slower paced as the extra 7 minutes i think, are just background character filler for Nanahara, such as the prolonged basketball scene which to be honest doesn't need to be there. Great film though.

Had a bit of a shitty Xmas guys ... so decided to watch a bit of non-horror

Predators.... OK but lacked something .. maybe the fact that Brody overacted in every scene didn't help

Day The Earth Stood Still (Remake) ... enjoyed it much more the second time around .. despite the "people can change after all" message

Meh .. screw Xmas!

Yeah, I felt alot of the stuff added in didn't really need to be there. Great film, but I prefer the theatrical.

I've just had to sit through the ultimate horror movie...

Yes - I was mad to watch...

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

I am scarred for life, the bloody film was so sickly sweet I think I've developed diabetes from it.

Sorry to hear that you had a crap Xmas Sarg, but at least you ain't gonna have any arguments over the remote and can do what you like when you like. Hope you have a great New Year though

Brody was ridiculous in Predators and that was the only thing that bugged me about it(although more Predators would have been nice)...though it really bugged the hell out of me.

I'm starved of horror over the xmas, so am gonna have to catch up.

Watched It's a wonderful life...classic xmas film(Big fan of James Stewart)
Bloodsport. Van damme at his cheesiest best.
