Ooh thanks for the suggestions Pedro! I'll have to check those ones out. FOTD looks particularly interesting.

Last night's viewing:

Saw 7 - enjoyable enough in a predictable way but I hope this really is the 'final chapter' because some of the plotting feels a bit desperate at times. That said, if they keep making them, I'll probably keep watching them

Video Violence - Enjoyed this one. Ultra low budget with some surprisingly convincing gore and a genuinely intriguing plot. Good to see the distributors kept with the nostalgic feel by seemingly transferring it straight from VHS Still good to see this one on DVD though and looking forward to the sequel.

I watched that Blu-ray a while ago but haven't revisited the discs to check out the extra features or watch it again -- it is a film that would probably benefit from repeated viewings.

As Kyle said, thanks for the suggestions, Pedro, I'll have a look at those YouTube clips and see what catches my eye.

TREASURE OF THE AMAZON - boring jungle exploiter with Donald Plesanace wich recreates the tarantula scene from THE BEYOND with crabs!

HUMAN TOILET TEACHER - this was shown to me by my brother in law and it's just nasty, could have done without seeing it.

CODE NAME: WILD GEESE - Perfect film for a lazy sunday afternoon.

TWO EVIL EYES - Not bad, thought Argento's story was the better of the two even if it did feel too 'americanised'.

watched Shaun of the Dead with the "cast" commentary, bit up themselves this lot no? and not least at all was....
Gaspar Noe's I STAND ALONE. this is NOT a date movie, and it isnt a patch on Taxi Driver....not since Happiness have i been so compelled to look away but couldnt....cant see it ever getting out here...
