The Spanish R2 release has English subs, but at £25 is a bit pricey. I got the R1 for £14. Not sure when there'll be a UK release.

Reckon I'll add it to my christmas list - just not getting any time to watch stuff with work at the moment, and when I do I'm too tired. Been trying to watch Farewell for the past three nights - reckon I need to start again from the beginning . . .

just watched a low budget dvd called mirror mirror. never heard of it and wasn't expected much. turned out a joy to watch couple of good death scenes and a good plot. the high school setting is not too highschoolish if you know what i mean and an interesting ending. well recommended

I presume you're being sarcastic, but that's not a great place to keep your toothbrush!

I watched The Resident last week and found it to be a fairly poor offering in the 'stalker in the house' horror subgenre as the landlord just wasn't creepy enough and it was just one of those films which has been done before and been done better.

Watched Tarantula (1955).Not much really,but I like the cover and the back of the dvd depicting things that never happen in the movie and I also watched Peter Watkins' Edvard Munch,one the greatest biopics ever made! directed with the usual style of Watkins

Just seen the Fly reboot.

Its a good flick, bit of comedy and then got serious towards the end.
Was kinda slow to start however.
Not seen the original so will check it out when I get a chance.

I assume by 'reboot', you mean the 1986 Cronenberg film. If so, it really doesn't have much in common with Kurt Neumann's 1958 movie which is much simpler as the scientist and the fly basically switch heads (though crucially not minds), so there is a scientist with a fly's head and claw for an arm who needs the fly with his head to try and reverse the process.

As the film begins with the scientist crushed to death in a hydraulic press with everything else told in flashback, you know it isn't going to end well!

Cronenberg's movie is superior in every facet, but the Neumann film is well worth watching and one I should really buy.

if you dont mind dvd, the telepod edition of the fly has ALL the fly movies including the pretty hard to get third b&w origional. Its still pretty cheap to buy as well..
