Default Duel (TV 1971)

Duel (TV 1971)
Watched my fave Spielberg movie, probably the blueprint for Jaws,I find being hunted by a massive truck alot more worrying.

Great film, even if the ending defers from the novel. Great use of Iron Butterfly's In A Gadda Da Vida towards the end too.

Safe house.

Nice enjoyable fun. Nothing complex or origional, but a great performance from denzel and a lot of action made the time pass quickly.

Also I suspect the director has a thing for paul greengrass and tony scott movies.

Showed mate Insidious, now here's a chap who professes to "lacking a fear gene", hmmm, but he definitely jumped twice during this (civillian, but has watched a few things under my guidance, evil cackle tm, ahem.)
enjoyed it for what it is, an old fashioned jump scare film, with a definite nod towards Silent Hill (well it's obvious to me anyhow...) and i mean the game here cough cough.
tonight, more Franco methinks!

and hopefully be getting a new free view box, so il be catching Deep End (yes, the one with Jane Asher) on Film4 Mon after all!!

Wild beasts.

Messed up beyond belief, totally unnacceptable levels of animal cruelty even for an italian schlock movie. (flamethrowered rats, a pen full of pigs and cattle having hyenas thrown into the mix) Actors in the same scenes as incredibly dangerous animals (including polar bear) and one scene of leering nudity aimed towards a clearly underaged actress. I can definately see why this one is rarely seen in a lot of countrys.
