The Case of the Cold Fish (1995) Murder mystery comedy that's something of a little gem. I'd read some good things about it and must say it really is fun. A Hero Never Dies: The Case of the Cold Fish |

KISS OF THE TARANTULA - Really enjoyed. Alienated teen kills people she doesn't like with her pet spiders. Although I'm sure in some ways it's dismissable as yesterday's drive in cast-off with nothing really to sell it - no gore, no nudity - it does have a faintly creepy undercurrent, with uncle of spider murder girl constantly pawing at her for a bit of incest, and on top of this has that weird seventies atmosphere in abundance... que bursts of dour electronic soundtrack noise grafted to scenes of girl stroking pet tarantulas with sinister dolls lurking in background - what focus group would allow that these days? Unheralded and probably a 'meh' from most, but I liked.

The Sentinel (1977)
The Sentinel (1977) Have'nt watched this for awhile, has a great cast, and for a Michael Winner film fairly adept direction, well up until he rolls out the freaks then he's as subtle as a kick in the knackers from a size ten boot. |

Wotons Wake- Watched this on the Arrow Obssesion BD, an interesting film. Start's out with plenty of menace and propect of Jack the Ripper of Phantom of the Opera style horror's, but after a while it just get's a wee bit silly and the King Kong impersonation get's quite tiersome quickly. It still provides an interesting insight into a manical freak's mind and his obssesion with trinkits. A nice little extra worthy of Arrow's great De Palma package. Surrprised that it was filmed in 1962 though, I guess that means De Palma was aiming for that 1940's look.
