The Expendables 2 - Just wow. Outdoes Rambo on the exploding Asian front about 6 to 1.

Shock Waves - Very effective and atmospheric film, with the amazing Peter Cushing. Some great stalking scenes, and the last 1/3 was fantastic. Print I watched kept flickering though, and with such bad quality and no natural grain I was a bit suspicious. Also the characters really pissed me off.

Just watched The Big Lebowski for the first time, excellent film, I can't believe it's took me this long to see it.
Watching Braindead now, this really does need a UK BD release, Peter Jacksons best film IMO

All jokes aside, that one scene is all there is, and the film gets a lot better as it progresses. I really rate amityville 2 very highly indeed. Seriously it is worth watching right through to the end.

Just finished watching the unrated blu-ray of THE DIVIDE. Still loving this movie. Interestingly Melissa george was supposed to be the lead....

Glad they picked Michael Biehn instead

Why oh why this great film missed out on a uk blu release is a mystery to me.

Now waiting for the other excellent michael biehn film made recently... BEREAVEMENT. It should be dropping through the letterbox sometime soon.

Momentum really screwed the pooch with their handling of The Divide, the marketing was good, which our own Sam@Cultlabs was responsible for (the online part of Marketing) but not releasing a blu and a cut version of the film was a big mistake, that's why i've held off buying it, seems they've seen the errors of their ways with the coming release of The Raid which is getting an extra's packed blu-ray.

Did Caligula have a damn good reason which has been omitted from all the history books?!

Is it pretty much the same as the first one? I only ask because I saw that for the first time this weekend and really didn't care for it and my principal reason for watching it was to see whether a trip to the cinema to see the sequel would be worth the time and money.

In the film review slot on Five Live on Friday with Boyd and Floyd, one of them said something along the lines of 'you know the film is bad when.Lundgren is the best actor', but I know The Expendables isn't about great thespian talent and is all about the action set pieces, zingers and explosions.

Not that I was that interested in it anyway, but when I heard of that "I'll be back" / "Yipp-Ki-Yay" exchange between Arnie and Willis I tuned out completely. I wouldn't want to risk my eyesight from 90 minutes of eye rolling . . .

Continued my John Carpenter odyssey with The Fog last night, recently I have enjoyed, but not in this order;

Ghosts Of Mars
They Live
Prince of Darkness
Escape From New York
Halloween III
The Thing
Big Trouble In Little China!

And I've loved every minute of it I've realised I need to get Halloween on Blu, UK edition is OOP and going for £25+ but I believe the US version is region free and around the £8.00 mark I love JC
