Killer Joe - I enjoyed Friedkin's film the first time around, this time I loved it. It's actually a very funny film, although a lot of the humour is hidden behind some extremely cringeworthy scenes. The cast are fantastic, but I just have to single out Matthew McConaughey. He's charming and menacing at the same time, it really is a brilliant performance that should of perhaps of received more credit during that year's awards season. Fantastic film, Friedkin is on a roll with Bug and Killer Joe.

My Amytiville Horror Documentary about Daniel Lutz, who as a boy experienced the events that inspired a franchise. Very sad film. Frankensteins Army A missed oportunity from the guys who made the awesome Worst Case Scenario trailer. I will put more in my diary once I return to a proper keyboard. |

Electrical Girl (2001) Made around the same time as Cash Chin's Naked Poison but where NP is nasty this one is just silly (but crazy and charming). A girl who gets electrically charged when she gets aroused and sees the winning lottery numbers when climaxing (perhaps all of them when she can manage to get an extended climax?!) meets a lecherous doctor, impotent men and a not so tough triad head! Probably only rated Cat III because of the dirty language, though there is some nudity and simulated sex. Trailer (btw this site only hosts trailers) Trailer Video by Electrical Girl (+18)

Cold Fish (2010)- Extremely tense and very well acted thriller. Shion Sono directed lavishly and smoothly and provided one or two stand out creepy moments. Very good indeed, highly recomended. Just about to watch Death Laid and Egg. Is it RTZ who keep's jarcking on about this one? Sounds interesting to me.

I would have loved to see this on it's release in the States. Sadly, in 1959, international travel was very limited for foetuses! Selected cinemas were fitted with pulley systems for the "Emerge" gimmick which saw plastic skeletons floating above the audience at key moments. Not a great film but certainly fun.

DLAE isn't your conventional giallo, mind. I personally really enjoy it, and yeah, there are a few of us on here who've been trying to wave this in Shameless' face for a potential UK release for LONG while now. |
