Why the theatrical version? The directors cut is far superior.

The director's cut of Chronicles of Riddick, with all the "visions" and cgi-altered scenes?
I personally don't like that at all Dem.

Timerider the adventures of Lyle Swann

First time seeing this and wish I hadn't waited so long. It's the sort of oddball movie of the week you might catch on a wet Sunday afternoon in front of the telly. Fred Ward is a dirt bike rider who is inadvertently sent back to the old west and clashes with a band of outlaws who want to nick his bike. 90 minutes of pure no-nonsense fun. Put me in the mood to track down that Klaus Kinski time travel film TIMESTALKERS that had William Devane in it. Timerider reminded me of it a lot.

Last horror I watched was Return of The Living Dead (1993)

6/10. Julie as a 'mod-zom' was the clear highlight.

continuing watching one of those 50 movie classic boxsets(chilling classics) which i need to hurry up with as only on disc 5 of 12 and still have another 5 boxsets like it too watch. the films watched of late of it are:

War of the robots

sci-fi nonsense about a kidnapped scientist and a bunch of androids. obvious low budget cash in of star wars with special effects that looked like them came out of the old buck rogers series and sets and clothes from space 1999. bad but in a good way 6/10

Oaisis of the zombies
bad but not in a good way. just awful. terrible acting with some laughable "soft porn" 3/10

the witches mountain

what the hell was going on, starts with a evil little girl killing her mothers cat and a fire, then its about coven of witches in the mountains, nothing is heard of or mentioned about the little girl again!! which would of been a more interesting story 4/10

Land of the Minotaur

really enjoyed this which is down to peter cushing and Donald pleasense. some nonsense about a cult killing young people in Greece who worship the devil/Minotaur 7/10

the revenge of doctor X

absolutely hilarious story of a scientist who makes a half man half plant monster. which has Venus flytraps for hands and feet. the most over the top acting i have ever seen from the lead. the world is saved at the end from the scientist and his monster by a little goat!! 6.5/10

Hidden in the Woods. A Chilean film that apparently is being re-made in Hollywood. Backwoods hillbilly redneck that looks after the drugs for the local big wig and abuses his daughters proves very hard to kill. Not the most impressive film out there but tries hard and the blood flows freely.

"Fairy Tale Killer" (2012).

Enjoyable Hong Kong cop film. I won't say anything about this film in case others wish to pick it up whilst it is cheap in Asda except that it holds some very interesting ideas.

15/10 for the "Hansel & Gretel" play scene!
