The Sony BD looks and sounds great, too.
Has anyone seen the so called 'mini series cut', that was shown on tv? (Running time is about 5 hrs)
It's interesting but I prefer the film.

Last night we also watched Tamara Drewe, that was her pick.
Complete drivel apart from Gemma Artertons bum.
I must be the only person who didn't like Avatar. I find it the most overrated film ever. It's all been done before. Effects were good, but it was just a case of style over substance.

Just don't see what all the hype was about.
Ha, I guess I'm not!

Avatar worked well enough on the big screen, on the small screen the home video experience really showed up the poor script. That's why I prefer tron legacy. It was an amazing big screen experience that holds up on home video. I really hope they go ahead with their new version of THE BLACK HOLE. It might actually be good!

WINTER'S BONE. A bleak mini masterpiece that feels like a myth unfolding in the rural American wastelands. Sparse, silent and menacing , this had me feeling anxious throughout, waiting for violence to erupt at any moment. Jennifer Lawrence is amazing in the lead role as a 17 year old raising her younger siblings whilst caring for her sick mother with the knowledge that their home will be taken from them if she can't locate her wayward father. I can't praise this one enough. Highly recommended.

@Avatar.

I've never seen it.

Owned it since it's day of release on dvd as well. Same goes for Avengers Assemble, Inception, Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Damned supermarket offers!!!

Tulpa - Perdizioni mortali (2012)

A decent attempt at a neo-giallo, it's better than the German 'Masks' one I saw a recently, but still isn't completely successful. 5.5/10

HORSEMEN. Truly dismal serial killer film with Dennis Quaid as a widower cop too busy solving crimes to pay any attention to his kids. So bad is his neglect of the kids it transpires his son is in fact behind all the killings to punish Quaid and other parents of not showing enough love. Utter bollocks.
