What Films Have You Seen Recently?

SCHIZO.

Pete Walker moves into giallo territory with a tale of a young woman recently married who spy's her mothers lover/murderer outside the registry office which sparks off a bunch of graphic murders at the hands of a black gloved killer.

I'm keeping the killers identity a secret for those here who have yet to see schizo but i'll say this right now, i'd be surprised if anyone fails to guess the killers identity as its rather obvious. I like Schizo but it is rather flawed and not as good as Frightmare or house of whipcord. It lacks the nasty, dark atmosphere of those movies. It does have some good death scenes and while over long (the first half drags way too much) when it kicks in it's still highly entertaining nontheless. Not as good as the Boulting brothers Twisted Nerve either.

Also Schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder are two different conditions!

Just watched the Robocop remake and Carrie remake one after the other, I don't know why I do this to myself with these remakes, although neither was terrible they both seemed absolutely pointless like so many others

This was the first James Cagney gangster film I've seen but I picked up the James Cagney Signature collection from a charity shop so looking forward to checking out the rest on the evidence of 'White Heat'...

Cat people 1942

Enjoyed this just as much as the remake, similar but also very different, very suspenseful and had me gripped from beginning too end. Looking forward to watching the rest of the movies in the lewton boxset. 9/10

Now watching the devils rain, never heard of it before just picked it up because I liked the cover and it had shatner in it, did a little research and heard on release it got panned by the critics . Will be interesting to see what it's like as the director was the director of the Phibes moves.

Is "The Roaring Twenties" in the set? I've loved this film since childhood and it contains possibly my favourite ending to a film ever. Whilst most kids I knew wanted to grow up to be football players or spacemen, I wanted to be either Cagney, Tarzan or Elvis. As you can imagine my life has been a bitter disappointment...

Yes, 'The Roaring Twenties' is on there, with 'Angels with Dirty Faces' and 'Public Enemy' making up the rest of the set. I'll give 'The Roaring Twenties' somer priority based on your recommendation

I loved the devils rain. It's my second favorite Shatner horror flick after kingdom of the spiders.

Have you seen the film he did in Esperanto? I've always wanted to see it along with "Deafula" the first film done in sign language.

That's Incubus (1966)...weird and atmospheric but not bad at all,got it on vhs but there's a US Fox/Winstar dvd (2 different covers,one seems to be re-release) as well I just noticed.

Yeah incubus is good. Saw it ages ago mistaking it for the John Hough film. Still rate Kingdom as the best non-trek Shatner there is. Devils rain is definitely second.
