Oh I'm aware of that. Just don't like it, Peter Parkers smart but c'mon! I thought that the Raimi version had a brilliant idea in making the webshooters organic.

mind he doesn't seem very smart in the new movie, seems to be average intelligence. should be really smart, not Tony Stark or Reed Richards smart but smarter than most of us.

Well, for what it's worth, I thought The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was extremely good and much, much better than I expected. I thought it might fall into the trap of having too many villains, which was one of the reasons why Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 didn't work, but that was done really well.

thats fair different strokes for different folks but i said in my post just didn't like it. 4/10 was a bit harsh more like a 5 or a 6. found Peter/Spiderman to be really annoying. granted the characters always been a bit annoying but this version just wanted me to punch him in the face!

Safe (2012, Boaz Yakin)
The Stath saves the day, whilst kicking the stuffing out of everyone he meets....quite brutal in places (dinner plate to the throat....ouch!), the action is all, as the story is fairly perfunctory (loner with a heart comes to the aid of an innocent etc). Moves into 4th place, am looking forward to watching this again!!

The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears - if you didn't like Amer you won't like this I reckon. I thought it was utterly fantastic, a real sensory experience that both perplexed and struck awe. Incredible stuff.

Each year you can count on the fingers of one hand the number of films that NEED to be seen on the big screen. This is one of them.

Forget about TSCOYBT on home video it won't (can't) be the same experience.

Evil of Frankenstein

Ok it ignores the previous movies and the monster effects aren't up to much, but it's better than some of the others especially the one with Ralph bates. But we have some fine acting and ok script and it looks nice on blu ray. 7.5/10

Five dolls for an august moon.

Another fantastic gem from the master mario bava. Atmospheric with a dark and wicked sense of humour and some interesting deaths. 8/10

Watched Val Lewton's Cat People earlier this evening.
Where to start, I loved it and it's one of those films where I wish I was better at reviews so I could really express my thoughts on this excellent film.
Loads of atmosphere and great performances, the type of film where not a lot really happens but it just mesmerizes. Looking forward to making my way through the rest of the Lewton set.
