Not read the book but thought the film a pale comparison of it's self. I really didn't enjoy it and found it kinda dull.

Well I watched Corpses(2005).
Glimmers of decency, and a scenery chewing turn from Richard Donovan doth not make a great movie. A mish mash of Idle Hands, Reanimator and The War Of The Roses. Fahey has fun, thank Cthulhu someone did.
keirarts likes this.

I finally saw Nymphomaniac by Lars Von Trier last night, I've wanted to see this movie since I first heard about it since I love Trier's movies (especially his latest two which are masterpieces in my opinion). This one was the worst of the "depression trilogy" but still a very good movie. I was hoping for the movie not to end the way it did, but oh well. It's not supposed to be happy anyway.

Yeah, it is pretty good, light and fluffy with an edge of darkness. I enjoyed it.

Watching it now and enjoying it agree with every thing you said. Really don't know why I bother buying stuff with the amount of stuff on American netflix. More than enough stuff to watch to keep me occupied for years. Think I'll be buying some more books!

Edit

Just finished it and I nearly ended up bubbling like a baby!

We Were Soldiers (2002) Quite like this one, great score and some good visuals.
