![]() Norbit Not as bad as everyone claims. There is some funny parts in it and I did laugh a few times. Didn't know Eddie Murphy played Mr Wong. I thought the ending was a bit stupid and Cuba Gooding Jr was wasted. Thandie was pretty but it made for an odd couple. Terry Crews looked good at being menacing and I thought Eddie over played being Fusia but the lines he did have was funny - like I weight 165 pounds bitch and I keep telling you to stop playing with my car seat. It was an ok time killer but not a film to buy. |

![]() Mad Max: Fury Road I posted this review on another forum already, but it's worth repeating because it's a damn good film that you should all see so we get more like it. Some spoilers, hence the spoiler tag. SPOILER: ... which for some reason isn't showing up in this post. Long story short... great movie! Mad Max Road Fury is technically and visually stunning but, despite borrowing heavily from the 2nd and 3rd outings in the original series, fails to deliver a coherent, consistent story. Instead its a demented punk road chase which fails to achieve the highs of Road Warrior. I will look for an extended edition on blurry later in the year, because I am convinced with little more story this could be a godd, if not great, action film. Disappointing. |

This gets a 7/10 for me. I will probably end up re-watching it to try and get a more coherent grasp of the story though. I watched Comedy of Terror's with Price last night. That gets a 8/10. |

Saw The Man Who Haunted Himself for the first time last night. Roger Moore is a strait-laced businessman who suffers a near-fatal accident, only to return home to find strange thing happening - strangers approaching him claiming to know him (even intimately) and friends and acquaintances claiming to have seen him in places he's never been. Is he going round the bend? Or does he really have a doppelganger who seems intent on taking over his life? Uncle Rog gives an intense performance in this creepy 1970 thriller that I really enjoyed (absolutely beautiful picture quality for a 45 year old movie too!). I was also deeply amused to find, three years before he became James Bond, Roger talking about industrial espionage and noting "It's not all James Bond and Her Majesty's Secret Service, you know." Oh, the irony! ![]() |

I was also disappointed with the new Mad Max, I found the story and performances to be lacking, I couldn't get involved with them. Awesome cinematography and quirkiness, but overall didn't work for me as a film.
