The second in the Adventures of trilogy this time starring Christopher Neil as a junior private investigator taking a case involving blackmail from saucy Suzy Kendall.

Neil seems far more suited to the role than Barry Evans from Adventures of a Taxi Driver.

He went on to be a record producer in the 80's, working with Sheena Easton, Bonnie Tyler, Celine Dion and Cher amongst others

I watched 30 minutes of Krampus last night and turned it off. It's strange mix of Christmas Vacation mixed with German folk tale wasn't really my thing. Are there any fans of it here? Does it pick up any after Adam Scott shoots at a lump in the snow and they leg it?

I've just looked at my computer and found something I wrote back in 2008:

Southland Tales – As a huge fan of Donnie Darko, I was looking forward to seeing Richard Kelly’s next film but never quite got round to it. I was especially interested in seeing just how warranted the critical mauling it received was. It is almost beyond dispute that Southland Tales is a muddled, confused and overlong mess which was badly cast and horribly edited. I can understand that some will love it and say that if you don’t like it, it’s because you don't get it. I got it, it’s just sad to see someone with the obvious talent that Kelly possesses getting bogged down in this sub-Lynchian post-apocalyptic time travel film that seems to be rehashing the same material he used to great effect in his debut. Maybe this could be a great film with cut material edited into the existing movie, but I doubt it.

Funnily enough I tried watching that last night. I only lasted 30 mins but gave up because it was twenty past two in the morning. I was enjoying it but my eyes wouldn't obey me any longer

I'm sure I reviewed it on here, but I'm struggling to remember what I said. I think 'possibly quite good in some ways, but has an ultimate tendency towards meh' pretty much comes to mind, though. The eighties period stuff as I recall seemed to work quite well, only it was filmed on harsh looking digital video - that put me right off. And I was looking forward to a bit more gore, but the sadist in me ended up feeling a little short changed, maybe.
