I really like Killer clowns just for the fact that it takes all the clown/fairground kids stuff and subverts it. Candy floss cocoons, shadow puppets etc. My favourite clown horror and yes that includes It.

By the way Dem there's an American graffiti sequel, (More american graffiti) but i've never seen it, enjoyed the original but the sequels probably shite. Also Lucas's film THX1138 is worth watching if you've never seen it. Although that too has been Lucasfied (ie he twatted about with it years later) in newer releases. Still i enjoyed it when i saw it and it has Donald Pleasance so it's worth checking out.

Somebody mentioned 2000 AD and i'm no expert but from the issues i've owned my favourites we're Early Judge Dredd and Judge Anderson, (i always prefer the black and white detailed drawings). Also really liked Strontium Dog, Rogue Trooper and Slaine. ( the Slaine Story 'The Horned God' is in my opinion truly great, i think it's available as a graphic novel). Also really love 'Hewligan's haircut' which is a 90's trippy tale by the bloke who drew Tank Girl and did Gorillaz stuff with the bloke from Blur. All good stuff.

valley_of_zombies_poster_01.jpg VALLEY OF THE ZOMBIES (REPUBLIC 1946) Blood is being stolen from a Doctors lab. The theft is by a man called Murks who died in an operation but found a limbo between life and death, a valley of the zombies. Murks continues his lust for blood to survive by killing people, draining their blood and embalming them. A Dr and an nurse who are helping the police are soon trailing Murks to his abandoned home... Another okay little picture. After the investigations in to various deaths, the film picks up when Murks is trailed back to to his home. A creepy old house in the woods with the family mausoleum next door. So there is NO valley as such in the picture and NO zombies apart from the undead Murks. The poster promises more than the film delivers and it clocks in at only 55 mins. |
