Everly (2014) Fighting back after four years as a yakuza sex-slave, a woman (Salma Hayek) matches wits and weaponry with a legion of killers who are out to collect the bounty on the heads of her and her family. Felt like I was watching a climax of an action movie ie Taken etc but lasted 90mins to do it. |

I saw Blade Runner 2049 at the cinema today and thought it was superb. Denis Villeneuve has Ridley Scott's ability to create worlds and, with stunning cinematography from Roger Deakins, an amazing soundtrack and great performances, the fascinating story captivated me from beginning to end. It's a very BIG and LOUD film which is best seen at the cinema because it is a fully immersive viewing experience. I probably won't get a chance, but I would love to see it again on the big screen before buying the UHD Blu-ray Disc for home viewing.

Teenagers Battle The Thing (1958, Dave Flocker) Yeah, well I would watch this .... 53 min in and still no teenagers A precursor to the much funnier Night Of The Demon (80) ... a college prof and his 'mature' students wander into the woods looking for fossils. What they find can only be described as a walking roof insulation man. Well, that's what he looks like to me Incredibly dull after a slightly gory opening..... so far.
