Death Wish 2 Kersey is in LA, moving on with his life and helping his daughter get back into a state of normality, that is until he gets mugged and attacks one of the muggers; who respond by raping and killing his maid and kidnapping his daughter; who falls onto a spiked fence. This sends Paul into his old ways and he proceeds to kill the rapists off. This was great, however I did feel uncomfortable at how long the rape scene was with the maid and likewise with the daughter. Some good action and a great soundtrack from Jimmy Page. 7/10 Sent from my MediaPad T1 8.0 Pro using Tapatalk

Not seen any Deathwish films since the eighties but keep seeing people picking them up on here. Which are the best to get on Bluray? Are these uncut? Seem a decent price. but original not included. 81OsK+GK8NL._SX522_.jpg

Not very well received on IMDB or rotten tomatoes, but I've always enjoyed this Stuart Gordon About two space truckers ( Dennis Hopper and Stephen Dorff) which are hired to deliver a suspicious cargo to earth. Silly ,OTT and a whole lot of fun, the CGI effects in the day might of been good have aged terribly , with a blu ray version due next year and can see he effects looking even worse, but will still be getting it. 8.5/10 Now watching the running man which be not seen since it came out on VHS! |

Long Time Dead 2002 A group of teens play with a Ouija Board and release a Djinn that's out to kill those who awoke it. This is a decent British horror movie, the acting is OK not the best but the tension is kept high. I wouldn't say it's one of those that you be hiding behind a cushion or be on the edge of your seats, it can get slow then builds up quick, it is worth a watch.

C.H.U.D. (1984) A number of disappearances of homeless people in New York seems to point to the sewers and the dumping of nuclear waste. An acronym for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers, the C.H.U.D.'s of the title although nicely realised barely feature in this rather lame, thrill free monster movie which seems far more interested in telling of New York's homeless problem and lecturing us about dumping waste in an urban environment than it does scaring us. Despite great location work both above and below New York City and a strong cast, including Home Alone duo John Heard and Daniel Stern, C.H.U.D. is a relatively weak example of an urban horror film. Watch the similarly cityscape set Rutger Hauer vehicle Split Second (1992) for a far more interesting (and rain soaked) take instead.
