Wild Beasts. PCP in the water supply makes animals very, very angry in this ludicrous but insanely entertaining mid 80s German horror flick, and it's not long before wild animals from a local zoo escape and go on a mad rampage in a city. There's some terrible acting and dialogue, but this barmy "animals attack!" movie is an absolute fricking hoot nonetheless, complete with some lunatic set-pieces (a tiger on a subway train, a cheetah pursuing a speeding car, a polar bear stalking kids in a school) I've certainly never seen before. What a riot! |

Educating Rita (1963) Still very funny on numerous viewings,Caine and Walters are brilliant. But why did they change the end title music from the Original release version? It was a lovely piece of music as well Grrrrrrr. This is how it should have ended... But the music has been changed!! Customer in Hairdressers: What's that book you're reading, love? Rita: Somerset Maugham, "Of Human Bondage". Customer in Hairdressers: [knowingly] Ohh, my husband's got loads of books like that. Last edited by Nosferatu@Cult Labs; 30th November 2017 at 01:39 PM. Quote:
I saw this at the cinema and the end title music was superb. I bought the soundtrack. I watched it a few times on video after. Then...the horror. The end title music on DVD versions had another piece of the soundtrack in place of the original score piece . The original score was far more fitting and I have no idea why this music was replaced. |

Dirty Dancing Pt 2
Is it just that Swayze absolutely reeks of the 80s? Baby seems to represent the coming age of liberal hand wringing about to sweep Murica ... it being set in pre Dallas '63 etc. The rest of the cast mouth the usual staid drivel about 'staying in your place'. This being another instance of Hollywood's rotten core spouting equality and harmony whilst revelling in a scenario that has Lolita beaten hands down. IMO. And breathe. The ST wavers from class to that plastique 80s bleugh. Which makes it wildly disorientating ... take me back to ole Andy Milligan ... where the freaks are easier to spot

Dirty ....... zzzzzz Never mind that. We can dance our way to Socialism ..... apparently Well, I didn't have the time to notice if I had the time of my life either. All in all it's not Top Gun either. NOW THAT'S AWFUL.

6.5/10 now watching dirty rotten scoundrels. which was probally the last good film Steve Martin did before he started turning out shite like Sgt. Bilko and the pink panther. on a side note when did Glenne Headly pass, noticed this while watching futureman which she was in and the end titles would say in memory of Glenne Headly, so RIP to her |

Fight for your life 1977 Three escape convicts take shelter in a preachers house with his family and torment them till the crack and the convicts feel they will be tormented back. This is one of those movies that was listed as a video nasty. This is a low budget movie that comes packed with everything from violence, rape, racism (from the convicts and the coloured family) and revenge. There are some scenes in this film that may be upsetting or disturbing, there is a feel of sympathy for the family then the tables turn. This is like Wes Craven's Last house on the left with some great performances, this is a good thrill ride from start to finish. 8 out 10.
