Shockwave A government experiment on robots go wrong and crash-land a plane on an island. The US send a taskforce and a doctor to stop them, at the same time some robbers are also marooned on the same island. I thought the visual torture was over, but it's not. Some cameos by George Takei, Robert Picardo and Michael Dorn. Terrible visuals and acting. STAY THE **** AWAY 3/10 Sent from my MediaPad T1 8.0 Pro using Tapatalk

Robocop (1987) With the news that a new film in the franchise is being developed by co-creator/co-screenwriter/co-producer Ed Neumeier, as a direct sequel to the 1987 original that will ignore everything else that came after it, I needed to revisit one of my childhood favourites with a viewing of the director’s cut. I hope Paul Verhoeven returns to direct. ****1/2 out of *****

The Magic Toyshop 1987 After their parents die, three siblings are sent to stay with their Uncle who owns a toyshop where everything seems to come alive. This is one of those rare and deleted movies that has resurfaced, based on the novel by Angela Carter (the company of wolves) comes a dark story of lost childhoods to discovering things that may be real or not or just fantasy that deals with coming of age adolesence and puberty. Tom Bell gives a great performance as uncle Phillip who believes that a piece of wood can have story to it and is also seems to have a dark side to him thats a frightning bully. This is not a big budgeted movie, with a star cast that everyone knows the actors, but certainly worth a look at. 8out of 10.

I really like 2 as well - it's a good, but not as good sequel. It's the only part of the franchise worth bothering with after the original film.

Yeah, I like RoboCop 2 as well, but 3 is not something I ever intend on suffering through again!

While the remake was slightly better than the God-awful 3, it isn't really saying much. It was pants.
