Gone is the atmosphere and tension from the first, story here is a young man(the baby from the first, it's supposed to be a big reveal but most will figure it out within ten minutes) finds out that he s the product of witchcraft and is some sort of choosen being that will let evil rule the world , a temptress is sent tempt him to the dark side can the love of his girlfriend save him from fulfilling his evil destiny. This is how poor i was expecting the first with carry on style softporn, the actress playing the temptress looks like a porn actress. Don't know if I'll be watching anymore in this series. 4.5/10

Bizzare, disturbing and at times unsettling slasher about a killer with a extra thumb on one of his hands that uses various disguises to kill those who he believes have committed sins. Some interesting imagery and religious overtones with a dream like quality . The killer is genuinely creepy with his use of disguises and voices. Think this worth people giving it a shot, for those with prime it's free on prime video 7/10

The Incredible Hulk (2008)

This is far from being one of the worst MCU films, yet it’s not up there with the best either. While this iteration of Hulk/Bruce Banner pales in comparison to the portrayal in The Avengers onwards, it was probably the best they got the character at this point. Aside from some other faults as well, none of this is enough to stop it from being a pretty good entertaining couple of hours overall, culminating in a spectacular finale. And Tim Roth is awesome.

A young boy emerges from a lake while a mysterious stranger kills a man in an abandoned school and begins making a mask of his face. Menwhile the young boy goes to church where he is bullied by his fellow choirboys one of whom has a switchblade! The attempted GBH is halted by the priest who begins his service talking about sins in the modern world. The service is intercut with scenes of various people in their everyday life the sins the priest is discussing meant to apply to the people we see. Everyone it seems is going to a school reunion and its at the same school the mysterious stranger has taken over. (shock.) After about half an hour the slasher movie actually begins as the classmates are murdered one by one and 'redeemed' of their sins by the mysterious killer who has a second thumb on his hand which is posessed. (seriously I'm not making this up.) He has the hand of the redeemer as well as a gift for disguises (which he uses for every murder) and a gift For overracting WAY too much. The film ends with a supposedly profound and meaningful ending but by the end I still had very little clue as to what the film was trying to say. (is it the only bible belt christian slasher movie ever made, or a condemnation of religious extremism?)
I have to admit to not having heard about this film, apparently it has a cult following and has been released on numerous bootlegs over the years under different titles but this is the first official release of the movie, using a scratchy and occasionally hissy 35mm grindhouse print. The film doesent look great but apparently this is as good as its going to get, theres no extras aside from a trailer but knowing code red who released it they probably tried.
The real question is, is the film any good? Well yes and no. The structure is messy, as is some of the editing and the films internal logic makes no sense at all. In one mid picture sequence the killer has to be in two places at once in two seperate and elaborate costumes! The acting is varied to say the least and the whole picture feels very pretencious and poorly paced. Its like the director went out to make the artiest slasher he could, chock full of religious symbolism (at one point the victims are all sat eating in a scene framed like the last supper, Geddit?) and unfortunately fails to do for the slasher pic what messiah of evil Messiah of Evil: Second Coming [DVD] [1973] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] did for the zombie picture. Both films are strange, surreal arty affairs that try to do more with the genre than turn a quick buck, but for my money messiah is shot by someone far more talented. That said, in terms of slasher movies it does stand out from the crowd. Perhaps for the wrong reasons, but its a much more memorable slasher pic than a lot of the stuff that was crowding the early eighties post-halloween marketplace. The film also has some fairly creepy scenes and a pretty disturbing atmosphere some of the time, and at least one entertaining booby-trap killing.
Overall then i'd say give the movie a try, I cannot guarentee you'll like it but its certainly worth watching, especially if like me your a junkie for some of the weird and wild gridhouse fare code red are releasing at the moment.

The Frightened woman.

Also known as The Laughing woman (Femina Ridens). Philippe Leroy plays a wealthy sadist who abducts and tortures women for sexual kicks and boasts of killing women at the point of climax. He abducts Maria played by Dagmar Lassander and begins a kinky game of domination. However Maria is no pushover and begins playing games of her own and subverting her captor.
Fans of the 50 shades series who seem to think that asinine series is the be all and end all of BDSM in literature & cinema really need to see this one. Its a startling thriller which depicts the battle of the sexes as a series of power plays between the two central character. Its all framed with some of the most startling set design in Euro cinema and two superb central performances.

Who saw her die?

George Lazenby plays Franco Serpieri a sculptor working in Venice. His wife Elizabeth played by Anita Strindberg is out of town so he as a tryst with his bit on the side while his daughter is out playing with the local kids. Tragically his daughter is abducted by a mysterious woman in black and later found dead in the venice canals. Stricken with guilt and grief Franco begins a hunt through Venice for the killer.
Along with short night of the glass dolls and night train murders its another excellent picture from Aldo Lado. One of Lazenby's best screen performances, it shows he has more range than perhaps he was given credit for. As usual Venice provides an excellent backdrop for the action and Ennio Morricone's score is terrific.

Spasmo

Robert Hoffmann plays Christian. He's out with a lady for a bit of night time action when he finds a woman lying face down. At first he thinks she's dead but then discovers she's alive. Its Suzy Kendall playing Barbara, a woman Christian becomes infatuated with. He meets her again at a party with her current fella Alex and steals her away. Unfortunately from then on their budding romance is continually interrupted by murder and intrigue. Pretty soon Christian begins to question his sanity. Does this have something to do with a childhood trauma?
Spasmo is a great looking giallo from Umberto Lenzi. Lenzi was possibly a better director of Poliziotteschi but he made several interesting Giallo pictures this being one of the best. Its a great looking movie that moves along at a brisk pace and has a terrific ending.

Delerium: Photo's of Gioia

Gloria is an ex-model who is now running her late husbands glamour magazine pussycat. A masked killer begins butchering models and taking glamour shots of the corpses and mailing them to Gloria. An admirer who lives across the road and watches Gloria, occasionally giving her dirty phone calls may have witnessed the first killing.
Directed by Lamberto Bava, the film has a decent cast including Daria Nicolodi, David Brandon and George Eastman. Its well shot and doesn't seem to have had the same budgetary constraints other later era Italian pictures seemed to have. Its also got a quite interesting approach of showing things from the killers perspective with messed up hallucinations and all. Its nothing exceptionally original and it does have a little of the tackiness that crept in in the late eighties but I've seen way worse from this period.

The Time Travellers (1964, IB Melichor)
A bunch of science bods accidentally invent time travel. what they do with it is somewhat a precursor to newer films like Synchronicity & The Infinite Man. A chucklesome ride (like most of Melichor's work ), it has some merits.
