That was something I obviously missed and will probably see when I watch the second time. I guess I didn't notice because I was expecting a speaking part similar to the first and other recent MCU movies and was surprised when there wasn't one. As for the other films, I was more referring to the recent MCU ones (Iron Man onwards) rather than films from several decades ago (I know he's appeared in animated films during the 1990s), but thanks for the info anyway. I did read he had been unwell with pneumonia, so perhaps wasn't well enough to do a full day's shooting after the teaser trailer had been completed; he's well enough to do short videos to fans on Twitter at the moment, so it seems he's nearly back to full health.

NEW-WEB-THE-DAM-BUSTERS.jpg The live feed from the Royal Albert Hall featured music from the Glen Miller Band, various family members of Barnes Wallis and Director Michael Anderson and archive footage. The BBFC have decided to raise the cert to PG from U cert due to the racist language. Film looked great and looked like the 1.71:1 ratio. Nice to see the film on the big screen. You have to savour these big screen one night only showings of these classics because chances are they will never come around again. Cinema was sold out. What was good was that there were some young kids and teenagers in there with the parents. One girl had a flying jacket on. There ARE kids out there that remember and like to see these films. |

Dude, Where's My Car? (2001) Noticing Nosferatu had bought this yesterday i decided to dig my copy out again for what was i think a fourth watch. The film stars Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott two pretty hopeless fellas, and their efforts to piece together the night before in order to find Kutcher's car. The plot, such as it is, takes in many a ridiculous turn with the introduction of a transsexual stripper and pvc clad aliens (Both male and female) but still finds itself stretched thin even with it's slight 80 min run time. To be honest you'll know within the first five minutes if this film is for you. It's certainly silly, but not over crude like some films of this ilk are and both Kutcher and Scott remain likable throughout. Hell, there are even one or two laugh out loud jokes, in particular when the guys discover they both have tattoos adorning their backs. All in all i think Dude, Where's My Car? is a fun but dumb movie with the odd moment of genius. I bet Nosferatu hates it with a vengeance. |

Dude, Where's My Car? is in a set with Airheads and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, two films I remember liking but haven't seen in years, so that might have a bearing on how I feel. Certainly, thinking back to the brief discussion about Punch-Drunk Love, I would tentatively add Airheads to the (very short) list of films starring Adam Sandler that I've watched and enjoyed!
