Female Trouble (1974, John Waters)

Follow the joyous life of Dawn Davenport! Celebrate Xmas! Learn road safety!
Saddled with a burden that she is not fit for, our 'heroine' falls into the clutches of a pair of ne'r-do-wells .... things escalate from here . Mink Stole nearly steals the film as Taffy, the errant child in situ but in the end it's Divine's devotion to the role that tips the balance.

Another great classic universal monster movie. 8/10

Now watching Xtro which looks great, but the colour pallet on the directors cut seems a little off to me.

Finished Xtro and it's never looked better, seen a few times and still don't have much of a clue what's going on, it starts out semi normal but just gets more bizarre and surreal as the movie goes. A very effective soundtrack which is very late 70s/early 80s Dr who in places. 8.5/10

Dirty harry. one the best films Clint eastwood ever made, about an insane maniac terrorising san francisco and murdering people unless the city pays him not to.
Harry callahan is assigned to the case, and is a unorthadox cop who gets the job done. apart from this he has to deal with a bank robbery were he gives his iconic line, did i fire six shots or five?
and what is funny for me in this movie is when he gets a mexican partner and gets annoyed, because Chuck norris ripped this off as well in Lone wolf mcquade.

this film is fantastic and always great entertainment, and with a exciting ending involving a school bus. so i award this film 98.5 out of 100.

"Row, row, row your boat ...."

I highly recommend Charley Varrick for another fine performance from Andrew Robinson (amongst other delights).

Heathers (1988, Micheal Lehmann)

An insider and a new boy loner take on their High School's 'elite'. Still quite a blackly humourous film. The genre may have become crueller and grosser ... but this still makes me laugh. Whatever happened to Winona Ryder? She's great in this. Slater's baby Jack turn still makes me titter also ....

Finnaly got round to watching these.

The Final Conflict 1981.

Damien Thorn Now 33 Years old CEO of Thorn Industries and now appointed the new Ambassador for Great Britain. The second coming of the child of Christ has been born, Damien and his followers plot to find the child and kill it. a group of monks from Italy plan to kill Damien the daggers of Megiddo.

Sam Neil takes on the role as Damien Thorn, it seems like as now an adult Damien's persona gets darker and more evil. Unlike the first two previous movies this one starts off good but seems to loose its pace in some bits of the movie then builds up then goes slow again.

Rossano Brazzi gives a good performance as one of the monks set out to kill the antichrist, even his acting abilities seem to be pushed to the limits as he seems to be looking tired alot.

The kill scenes are a bit decent especially the former ambassador's suicide and a monk being burned and one falling from a horse over a bridge. The music score by Jerry Goldsmith is a bit more haunting than the previous Omen movie but not as darker as the first movie. 7 out of 10.

Omen 4: The Awakening

Two Attorneys karen and Gene York ( who is running for congress) adopt a baby from a orphange run by nuns and name her Delia. Mysterious circumstances surrounding Delia propmts karen to search for delia's birth parents and finds a connection between Delia and Damien thorn.

This was made for T.V but was given a small thatrical release and went through two different directors, This was a decent installment to the Omen movies, Asia Vera plays Delia, the young actress plays two sides a sweet looking little girl and the other side you really watch to bitch slap into the next week. There is one or two more deaths that can be seen as upsetting if you are afraid of fire or snakes. What threw me off this movie as to who was the real Antichrist and it was a good twist that was unexpected, worth a watch 8 out of 10.

Never seen the awakening might just now you've gave a point higher than 3 rd omen movie of the trilogy .
I do think all the omen trilogy films are good and a prime eg of how great horror films where then compared to now .

The Final Conflict was good apart from the lame ending. It just felt a total anti-climax. Although, Sam Neil was perfect in the role of Damien.
