Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. 2024.

Old school with new school ghostbusters team up to save New York from a ice age brought on by a powerful spectre.

The cast from Afterlife re-unite again with Bill Murray, Dan Arkroyd and Ernie Hudson along with Annie Potts making a bigger appearance who all seem to be hated by Dickless...sorry William Atherton who again tries to shut down our favourite heroes. This did have potential even at the start with the prologue that gave us a glimpse on what was to come and Patton Oswalt giving a brief history of the cursed object which set the bar a bit more up for more entertainment, but I felt the showdown was a bit naff and way too short for how it ended. The acting and pacing was good along with some special effects....yeah i'm praising the CGI...WTF is wrong with me praising that...yeah it's ok i'm scared as well. There is a good strong possible chance this will be watched again.

Human Experiments. 1979.

Linda Haynes plays a singer sent to a prison run by Mercedes Shirley and medical doctor Geoffrey Lewis who is using a brainwash technique to control the inmates. This one I have seen and forgot about and when I came back to it I remembered why I forgot about it. The film does start off well and does draw your attention as any female prison movie would with the usual undressing scenes and then it goes a bit tamer than other women in prison films do, and then we see the end results and then finally we get the end credits. This could have been a good film if more thought was put into it.

This is my first time watching this, it's a bit of a slow burner tbh, too slow to carry on but there's just that something that makes you want to carry on to see what the outcome is, it's mainly a married couple spending most their time arguing in one room, she just come out of a mental hospital due to having a breakdown and wanting to commit suicide because they've lost their son in an accident, an accident that wouldn't have happened if they'd been responsible parents I mean after all who kicks their 6 yr old child out to play near water, wouldn't let my child out that age anywhere without supervision. the outcome of the story was tbh predictable but that's only because lots of other films have been similar since eg the others, if you had watched it when if first came out then probably wouldn't.
Good enough for one watch but not good enough for a rewatch.

The Indicator Blu-ray is also quite poor. Outdoors shots were on film so looked great but indoors it was all shot on video and looked quite ropy.

Default Unseen movie 76.

I had no idea where to put this and should it be titled as a unseen movie or what so here it is.

Guinea Pig: Devil's Experiment. 1985.

I have heard a lot about these films but never thought i'd finally watch it let alone see the first one but here i am, a trio of guys kidnap a women, basically it's never explained why but these guys beat and torture this poor woman and eventually kill her. It can be cringe worthy and make your eye twitch but this was like watching a snuff piece from Videodrome, Long live the new....nope not today...the make up effects were decent but disturbing....heck i'm already disturbed I had no idea that this was only 43 minutes long, gotta give credit where it's due to the female actress for making the character's pain look real, onto the next one.

I'm pretty sure this was the one that Charlie sheen reported to the FBI as a snuff movie. If it wasn't it was one these because this one part of 7-8 films all similar style.

Default Unseen Movie 77-78.

Guinea Pig 2 Flower Of Flesh And Blood. 1985.

A girl is kidnapped late at night and wakes up in a room tied to table while her her attacker dressed as a samurai guard slowly tortures her and mutilates her body.

This was a bit of a step up from the first film but with only two characters and dialogue that seemed to be missing the subtitles but i'm not here for the subtitles but for the gore. We certainly get plenty of it and nothing really is held back, these we meant to be shocking disgusting and disturbing yet seem to be very mild.

Guinea Pig 3: He Never Dies.

A jilted man who feels no pain decides to send his body parts to his lover's new fella.

Okay dokey, the first two films were being taken serious as total snuff films but the makers of the one wanted to upscale it and turn it into a comedy, i mean WTF, a guy slicing open his gut while laughing and all the time a familiar score from the movie Demons is playing in the background. I will check out the 4th film and hopefully it wont be a comedy.
