I found out today that it was based on a book, didn't know this when I watched it. The infected word idea clearly didn't translate to the screen well, imo.

Watched Pumpkinhead last night.

Default What films have you seen recently?

SEED - a load of BOLLocks. A boring piece of crap.
I had never seen any of his films before because of the criticism
wish I hadn't seen it
THE ILSA FILMS - excellent exploitation, all uncut of course

I've just finished watching The Exorcist. It's still an immensely powerful film and is, in my opinion, the greatest horror movie ever made.

I watched the theatrical version which I still consider to be superior to The Version You've Never Seen which does have its plus points but the negatives still outweigh the positives. It just goes to show that William Friedkin is a better director than William Peter Blatty!

Me too loops.

Not Martino's best by a long way, but still a lot of fun.

I've seen some really disturbing films in my time, but last night i think i saw what has to be the most disturbing film i've have ever seen. The Girl Next Door really hit me really hard. I was left breathless and struggled through it due to it's absolutely relentless material. It's the only American film that literally abandons it's audience and plunges them into hell vertically. I think it is on par with the first time i saw Cannibal Holocaust and Martyrs. It seriously is one of the best horror films ever made and unbearably disturbing!

I take it that wasn't the film of the same name starring Elisha Cuthbert and Emile Hirsch?!

I haven't seen the other The Girl Next Door, but have always wanted to. I'll take that as a guarded recommendation!
