Can anyone explain what this authoring issue is/was?
Sorry to sound dense, chaps, but who are/were DD?

They released a whole load of stuff.. I think they specialised in documentaries at first with a lot of military/war stuff then got the rights to some Hammers and other British films. Not sure if they went into administration or bust but they have a remnant.

A lot of their old titles have been going for reasonably big money.

Here's what I can remember off the top of my head

Strangeways
Four-sided Triangle
Abominable Snowman
X-The Unknown
Quatermass Xperiment
Quatermass 2
Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell
Captain Kronos
Night of the Big Heat
Curse Of The Crimson Altar
Blood Beast Terror
Creeping Flesh
Island of Terror
Devil's Men
Revenge

Think there's more. Definitely a Hammer noir/crime film at least

Talking of shit transfers, I had a look at the Elstree Hill UK dvd of The Seducers ( aka Death Game ) and it looks even worse than the US disc ( if that's possible ). Avoid like the plague.

Castle Of The Walking Dead is availble on a US double bill DVD with Death Smiled At Murder. PQ's not brilliant, but I've seen worse...

Not sure if they're Moviemail exclusives as I can't seem to find them anywhere else.

I wonder if they have any more Tigons in the works. The UK could do with reissues of The Sorcerers and the DD titles.

Actually, forgot about Haunted House Of Horror so maybe that'll be next..
Pleased about this. I haven't seen either film for a long long time, as i recall the Beast in the Cellar isn't too hot, but The Body Stealers was good. I shall certainly be preordering these.

These two plus Captain Kronos and X-The Unknown make for a happy Autumn.

I quite like Beast In The Cellar. It's quite talkie and slow but I can watch Beryl Reid and Flora Robson doddering on no problem.

On the 26th of September Cornerstone are going to release Curtis Harrington's NIGHT TIDE on DVD. According to the product info it has been 'preserved and digitally remastered from a new 35mm print for posterity and this is it's first UK release'

They are also going to release this classic on the 3rd of October

Where do you find out about all these Cornerstone releases? I'm trying to get a list of their Hong Kong Connection DVD, but I'm having trouble!
