The Wilson Bros did it again - their review of The Witchfinder General @ dvdactive.com is online. They seem to love both movie and Blu-ray just as much as I do. Here you are: Witchfinder General - DVDActive/Reviews Greetings! |

Two artworks for The Witchfinder General - the first is from Italy, the second from Germany. I kinda like the German one. Greetings! |

Michael Reeves was apparently insistent that Donald Pleasance was the only choice for Hopkins. When you see 'Witchfinder' you see where he was coming from, there is a kinda Quite menace to Hopkins, also just read that both Price and Russell as the baddies had their entire Dialogue re-dubbed, Price did it willingly but Russell's voice was too soft and was voiced by Bernard Kay.

I just can't imagine Donald Pleasance in the role of Matthew Hopkins, Vincent Price is superb and definitely made it his own.
