Been along time since I watched it but it was not one of my favourite Rollins back then.

I don't think I have seen any of his movies. Any place to start?

I quite like "The Living Dead Girl", it's not Rollin's finest hour but it feels weirdly touching and, like "The Grapes of Death", features gore a bit more heavily than most of his others (I think, it's been age since I last saw it). Definitely worth seeing, although I have absolutely no idea what the most recent editions / 'blu-rays' are like.

For full on Rollin that features most of his stock in trade themes / obsessions / images / fetishes, probably start with something like "Requiem for a Vampire". For something atypical but fairly hard hitting and more straightforwardly 'horror', have a go at "The Grapes of Death". For a weirder, more abstract Rollin, try "Night of the Hunted", or go back to the beginning with the still stunningly strange "Rape of the Vampire or the masterpiece "The Iron Rose". Lots of people like "Fascination". Me, I even like stuff like "Zombie Lake" and "Killing Car", although I'm probably in a minority. He's often compared to Jess Franco and is as much of an acquired taste.
