Came across these two while on zavvi, never seen or heard of either and a little out of my comfort zone
Bicycle thieves is a wonderful, honest film. Rififi is on my wishlist, but I am pretty sure it I will like it.

Yep, it's a brilliant scene. That 25 minutes flies in!

I haven't seen Miracle in Milan, but both Les Diaboliques and Spirits of the Dead are worth picking up. Les Diaboliques is one of my favourite films - Fulci homages the infamous bathtub scene in The Beyond.

Spirits of the Dead is an interesting anthology with the final story 'Toby Dammit' being the stand out piece in my opinion. A great performance from Terence Stamp in that one

Les Diaboliques
Twisty, turny classic thriller

Apparently Hitchcock was interested in acquiring the rights to the book in the late 50's, but he missed out to Henri-Georges Clouzot

Undaunted, he turned his attention to a little known pulp novel written by Robert Bloch instead...

Well order all them apart from Les Diaboliques but will order that before arrow sale ends. If it wasn't for this site I probably would of never tried movies like these

That's what I meant when I said I'd be financially richer but culturally poorer if I hadn't joined Cult Labs! All three are brilliant films, and Les Diaboliques is one of the all-time great horror films.
