I agree. It's okay but nothing special. I tend to watch it around Halloween but didn't bother this year. It's not gory nor particularly scary.

The UK dvd is cheap as chips and has a commentary. I wouldn't bother with a blu personally.

Unless of course 88 Films release it in the UK then it's the greatest slasher ever!

Apparently the blu transfer isn’t very good, it’s not from the negative The film has its fans though, same deal as The Slayer I guess.

Get the Collector's Edition UK dvd as it is cheap and then watch it,If you hate it then use it as a coaster.

Check WowHD for the same item, it's the same company with a different shopfront and it's sometimes cheaper and has free postage.

Funny enough it's also the same company as Deep Discount but that storefront seems to be more expensive.

Right, I'm looking to get The Vengeance Trilogy on region 2 dvd. I've got the region 1 8 disc set but it definitely has problems. Does the more recent release from Palisades Tartan fix the audio sync problem on Lady Vengeance? Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I was wondering if people could recommend to me the best Hammer dual format releases in terms of extras.

Personal preferences if you don't mind rather than just a list of extra features from DvdCompare.

I have Dracula and Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell so no need to recommend those two.

Most of Studio Canal's releases have similar brief, but enjoyable short 'makings of' features. Some of Optimum's have quite decent features, but these are blu ray only.

One I would point you to is Lionsgate's double play of THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, which a has some great extras, including bonus film FOUR SIDED TRIANGLE, as well as the pilot episode for Hammer's ill - fated Tales Of Frankenstein tv series.

And I know you're sick of hearing this, but I would recommend you get yer mitts on a blu ray player and get Indicator's Hammer box sets. Not only are the transfers of the films stunning, but the list of extras for each title is amazing.
