Hahaha! Oh you!

Mark Kermode recently did a great video blog (refuse to use the word 'vlog') on the pleasures of seeing a horror film with a full-on horror crowd and how they're so respectful when it comes to being in a cinema.

In that case, you're definitely better off at home!

A horror film rated 18 with an adult audience is fine, but unfortunately a very rare cinema occurrence nowadays.

It's better than when I saw a double bill of "House of Whipcord" and "Thundercrack!" and a gent a few rows behind me was wanking to the films.
Rik and PaulD like this.

I had a bad experience when I went to see Terminator when it came out in the cinema,it was showing at some local fleapit,(this was before we had multiplexs)
and innocent little me was sitting there, then I felt something on my leg, looked down and it was a hand. Some old man was copping a feel,I freaked I ran,and waited for the film to hit video before I ever watched it again.

Wow, I've never had anything as exciting as that happen to me at the pictures. I was once hit over the head by a glass bottle flung by some unseen assassin a few rows behind me, that was at a screening of Innerspace, and some guy sitting in front of me was handcuffed and arrested by cops during True Lies.

The cinema is overrated I think, too many screenings are ruined by eejits intent on not watching the film and sloppy careless operators showing bad projections and sound pushed into the red levels (Mullholland Drive shown in the wrong ratio, all vertically stretched, a reel of Fight Club dubbed in French). Much less distracting to sit down at home I think...
