'San Andreas' Sequel Greenlit: Dwayne Johnson To Return
There have been enough positive comments on the film on this forum gag.

Most think it's good cheesy fun.

As someone who on the whole doesn't like superhero films from the last ten years or have any interest in comics it doesn't bother me.

Did you cringe when you saw his producer credit on The Revenant?

He has a reputation for being shit but i actually like several of his directorial efforts -

Rush Hour
After the Sunset

Red Dragon (sorry)
Rush Hour 2...and 3 (again, sorry)
X-Men The Last Stand
Hercules

I suppose he has that Michael Bay thing going on.

I was stunned when The Revenant ended and his name appeared on the screen. I was sitting there thinking 'Brett Ratner. Really? The same Brett Ratner? Surely not.'

I don't mind X-Men The Last Stand, but my favourite film of his is Cellular, probably the film which was Jason Statham's main launchpad.

I actually enjoy all of the Rush Hour films.

I wasn't too keen on Red Dragon or X-Men 3 though. I don't think I've seen anything else from him.

I think X-Men: The Last Stand probably survives because of diminished expectations – it's a Brett Ratner film, therefore I don't expect Bryan Singer levels of brilliance from it, so I'm much more forgiving of its shortcomings. If I treated it the same as the first two X-Men movies, I'd be much harsher and would probably never watch it.
