Look forward to seeing Idris Elba as the Gunslinger in The Dark Tower.

Perfect casting in my opinion.

I like the first couple of books. I haven't read them all even though i own them all as hardbacks.

Yes and no. Books 2 and 3 are 4 are superb compulsive reading. 5 drags a lot though it opens and closes very good. The remainder of the series is very long winded. Not read Wind Through the Keyhole yet.
